Ribbons - Dora (2023)

Posh isolation are proud to present ”Dora”, the first album by the Ribbons. Ribbons is a duo of Polish composer Stefan Weglowski and Danish experimental musician Christian Stadsgaard. ”Dora” is a collage of lo-fi digitalism: sampled internet glitches from the matrix wasteland, at times brutal and at times soft and humane, like voices sharing bygone memories. Dora in its abruptness constructs an erratic sound universe, where patches of remotely resonant chants, as if intercepted from a broken radio, entwine with elaborate loop manipulations, hypnotizing rhythms and street noise. Weglowski and Stadsgaard created a soundtrack for blinddates in Fortnight, with a pinch of paranoia, dark humor, a mockery of a new world dystopia.
