Blackfish - Transition (2022)

The 6th studio album of Blackfish is now available. Behind it is the music producer Maximilian Lopp, who has been releasing electronic music under this artist name since 1999. With the cult album "Pole Navigation" (2001) he made it, that the typical Blackfish sound (fat basses, hypnotic meditative pads and profound pianolines) became an integral part of the genre chillout and downbeat. On the new album there is now a very special collaboration with spiritual elements, some of which were created in cooperation with other artists.

For example, the blackfish remix of the native north American’s children song "Ani Couni" - not only since the seventies, this song has been interpreted in many ways and it gave the artists audible pleasure to create their own version of it. The guitar and vocals are provided by the artist and dance teacher Vera Touslesvents, who has also recently released her second studio album „Invocations" on blackfish productions (absolute insider tip!).

Also on the album are two collaborations with holistic sound worker and DJ Andreas Peter Stadel. As an extase-DJ with live didgeridoo, he is known nationwide as DJ Cosmopolit and has already played his meditative DJ sets at quite a few major festivals. He also has a large number of spiritual instruments, some of which he created himself. Andreas has enriched the track "Family Tales" with his profound shamanic voice together with Vera Touslesvents and the sounds of his mother drum can be heard on the track "Healing the world".

Ultimately, the album "Transition" does not impose itself, it leaves the listener free to engage with it. Transition = change - the clear message of the album: to find peace within yourself in stormy times.
