Daniel Kemish - Hard Times (2023)

Hard Times is Daniel’s 3rd Studio album. Recorded and produced in Nashville without a computer in sight! A completely analogue process was sought for this album, and the whole band tracked live bringing back the old school rock & roll sound Daniel was longing to capture. The band, pulled together from the best in the industry, didn’t resist his challenge either and took it places only the best could, this album Is possibly his best work yet and recording this way has certainly brought a real authentic that so many records lack nowadays.

Recorded direct to a 24 track, 2” tape, and after tracking mixed live (no computer present…) in real time and recorded onto a 1⁄4” two track tape. This is where the CD differs from the Vinyl. We played back the tape and recorded the final “live” mix onto Pro Tools. this mix was then separately mastered for the CD and digital release.

Even the reverbs used in mixing are analogue and hand made. Before the late 70s all music was made this way and now, more than ever, we deserve a sound that reminds us of better times.

The CD is due to be shipped out shortly before the 14th. I aim to have it at your address on the day or shortly after. please bear in mind that postage is out of our hands. also if shipping to the UK there are many hurdles and paperwork issues to cross and you many have to pay import duties. I am working on a way to get around this but its not proving so easy before the launch.
