Sean O'Bryan Smith - Musings of an Occasional Somebody (2023)

Internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Sean 'O'Bryan Smith has released his first full production New Age project.

For that he composed all the tracks, produced them, recorded them, mixed and mastered them. Sean has collaborated with top New Age artists such as John Gregorius, Brannan Lane, John Fluker, Chinmaya Dunster, Dieter Spears and Keith Medley.

Sean spent the majority of his musical career as a professional bass player, working with over 100 major and independent artists from around the world, including Kenny Rogers, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, George Clinton and Larry Carlton.

He has been recording solo albums since 2007, adding scores for TV and film five years later. He received awards for his music in religious films such as 'Providence', '94 Feet' and 'Saving Faith'.

But now he has arrived here with a New Age album. 'The Great Mystery' opens somewhat mysteriously, after which the fog rises with a lot of percussion in 'The Fog'. We travel further by land and sea in 'Over Land and Sea', after which we arrive at the paradise island of 'Isla del Paraiso'.

Eastern influences, such as sitar, can be heard on 'From the East', while something new lurks behind every corner with the rock-like 'Around Every Turn'. After that, a new day announces itself on 'New Day'. We then turn to the ocean to the tunes of 'The Albatross and the Whale', finally ending up with the chosen ones on 'Chosen'.

So these musical musings of a random person take you on a musical journey, with the emphasis on a relaxing New Age moment.
