L'Escadron Volant de la Reine - Miserere (2023) Hi-Res

Dominant figure of the Italian musical scene of the 17th and 18th centuries, Alessandro Scarlatti devoted his genius to all musical musical genres: opera, oratorio and chamber cantata, sacred and spiritual music, instrumental music for orchestra or for keyboard . In its vast catalogue, sacred music is quantitatively less imposing than secular music. However, Scarlatti composed sacred music for the liturgy throughout his life. L'Escadron volant explores the fervor linked to the cult of Holy Week through the rediscovery of two Miserere in unreleased recordings, adding liturgical pieces by Marc Antonio Ziani, as well as instrumental pieces. The sound balance of the Flying Squadron of the Queen, the perfect fusion between voice and instruments, the care given to the dynamics and articulation of the sound, restore an extremely captivating reading of the sacred music of the 17th and 18th centuries.
