The Singing Loins England, UK. Chris Broderick and Chris Allen, formed in 1990.
After last years successful reformation and the release of their 49 track compilation ‘The Complete & Utter Singing Loins’…
The Singing Loins are back with a brand new album called ‘Songs To Hear Before You Die’ which features 12 new songs including a version of the Buff Medway’s last single ‘Medway Wheelers’ which Billy gave to the band before he decided to recorded it himself.
This is their first new album since 1996’s cassette only release “Clever Clogs & Big Head” on their own ‘Singing Monkey’ imprint.
The Singing Loins formed in 1990, a two piece band playing “Authentic raw folk from the Medway Delta”. They are Chris Broderick on Vocals / Stick and Chris ‘Arfur’ Allen on Guitar. Their first two albums were produced by Billy Childish and released on his label Hangman Records. The albums also included contributions from Billy, Holly Golightly, Bruce Brand and Kyra Rubella of Thee Headcoatees.
This album was recorded earlier this year after their ‘one-off’ reunion show at the Tap ‘n’ Tin lead to them deciding to give it another go.
They will be heading out for shows around the country later in the year.
