This three-LP box set is one of the more bizarre Billie Holiday reissues with virtually all of the discographical information given on its back cover being completely inaccurate. A hodgepodge collection of live performances along with a few (presumably illegal) studio cuts, the recordings jump all over the place, from broadcasts with Count Basie in 1937 to TV appearances, concert performances in the 1950s and the 1936 studio version of "I Can't Pretend"; the latter has dubbed in phony applause. The recording quality varies from decent to barely listenable.
