From the opening bubbling synth laden 'Deep Sea Oddities', the blissed out hippy drum circle vibes of 'Volkswagenesque' and 'Camel Sands'. The Euro library 'Teledisko', the hairy 'Aquaria'. The Italian Library 'Today's Sound' 'Miles Away' and that's just side A! This album has it all! Side B opens with 'Belt Buckle' and you had better fasten it as you are in for a wild ride! Chunky bass, space invaders and ray guns await! 'Synthpathy for the Devil' gives you an idea of satanic moods, thankfully no stones were rolled in the making of this music! Feedback and wild angular guitars with syncopated beats take you through the 'Gyroplane'. Relax with a cool drink in the 'Freaky Tiki Cafe' as guitars, wurlitzer and wood blocks serenade you before an upbeat bossa of the Sigmund Jähn variety sweeps you away on a fantastical journey ending with 'Voodoo You Love' ...well after that musical experience, I think the answer is Misha and Shawn!
In my humble opinion this is Misha's best work to date. I have enjoyed following his musical progress from his deep funk beginnings to his later kraut rock inspired experiments and now this eclectic beauty with the irrepressible Shawn Lee.
