For him, Vaxations is not only the title of a piano piece by Eric Satie, but also and above all an expression of discomfort, disillusionment and anger. About the disharmony that reigns in the world. About the human conflict of belonging while at the same time wanting to be left alone. The highly anticipated sequel to Rest Now Weary Head is a concept album about the Stoics. Stoicism is the philosophy that teaches the development of self-control and fortitude as a means of overcoming destructive emotions. Under the pseudonym Get Well Soon, Gropper made a big impression in 2008 with his debut album Rest Now Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon. Gropper was hailed, seen as the musical savior from Upper Swabia and the genius student of the Mannheim Pop Academy. That is not true, because Gropper is not a savior and has never said that the academy played an important role in his musical career. Be that as it may, the fact is that the audience was impressed by the warm sound of his band.
