The album is a roller coaster ride. Right from the start it bristles with power, breathes through quiet Southern Rock ballads, makes detours to bluesy and atmospheric songs and never takes its foot off the gas. Each song shows unexpected depth and progression, yet Laura Cox never loses the ease and strength of rock. “I wrote the album mostly by the ocean during the lockdowns, so I liked the idea of having a water-related theme.” With this album, an exceptional guitarist proves she is so much more and finally sheds the label “newcomer.” After the release of her previous album, Laura played some of the biggest European festivals last year (Hellfest, Pol’and’Rock and many more), she interviewed the legendary Scorpions for ARTE and a documentary was dedicated to her about her rapid rise in the rock scene, produced by WDR for the much-revered Rockpalast.
