The Czech pianist from the well-known musical family Černý - Schulmeister is among the youngest members of the PETROF Art Family. He has been playing the piano since he was five years old.
Since the age of seven, he has been regularly participating in piano competitions, in which he has achieved remarkable results - he won first prize or absolute victory at the prestigious César Franck Piano Competition in Brussels and Piano Talents in Milan. In 2021, he was successful in several international online competitions. He received first place in the Odin International Music Competition in Estonia. He also shone at two competitions in Sweden, where Jan won 1st place and the Absolute Winner award. He added another success in the Great Masters International Piano Competition - Vladimir Horowitz Edition in Spain. In 2022, he completed four international piano competitions, including the Manhattan International Music Competition in New York, where he won the Gold Medal with Distinction.
