Argentinian rock psyche group in the 1960s

Originally made up of Roberto 'Rover' Jorge (guitar and vocals), Carlos Altamirano (guitar and vocals), Ignacio Tata Centol and Daniel Polak, Los Walkers made their debut in 1966. In 1967 Los Walkers recorded their first album with Roberto 'Corre' López ( Los Mentales y Sacramento), replacing Daniel Polak on drums and a year later they released their second album, Nosotros Los Walkers. The first two works received a marked influence of British and American rock, including a large number of covers. For 1969 Polo Pereira (from Los Mockers) replaced Rover. The group evolved towards a more psychedelic sound and released Walking Up With Los Walkers, considered their best work, with a repertoire of their own compositions. After this album, Machi Rufino (Pappo's Blues, Invisible, Tantor) came to occupy the bass, replacing Ignacio Tata. After several performances, some tours in the interior and bordering countries, Los Walkers broke up in 1970 after other formation changes.
