Tages - Fantasy Island (1994)

Tages was a pop group in Sweden during the 1960s. In competition with, among others, Hep Stars, they were/are often considered to have been one of the best Swedish pop groups from that era. When Aftonbladet compiled its list of the fifty best Swedish artists of the century in 1999, Tages ended up in 25th place as the only artist from the 1960s.

The group played a lot of their own material, mainly written by band member Göran Lagerberg, as well as some covers. Tages pioneered fashionable clothing and was a leader in Sweden on that front. The band members were criticized by others in the industry for thinking that the members of Tages were not real musicians. This criticism was taken seriously and the band quickly developed during the 1960s into a competent pop band.
