Luje - Raving Track (2023) Hi-Res

For some time now, LUJE has been on its way. The Lyon quintet twirls between indie rock, shoegaze and space-rock to make an explosive mix that continues to surprise with their latest album called Raving Track.

Opening with a most ethereal "Distilled Thoughts" before taking the world against the tide with this intense climax, LUJE promises us a high-flying record. Familiar with the Milky Way with pieces that are both scintillating and hard-hitting with “WithoutYou” or with “Oblique Projection”, the five Lyonnais know how to strike the right balance between tension and relaxation.

Raving Track brings together frantic moments bordering on noisy with “In The Plain, Under The Halo” but also more immersive with the psychedelic “Whale” or “Motorik Drumming & Sizzling Landscape” halfway between krautrock and motorik. LUJE surprises with these many turns but always remains as coherent with its cosmic synths and its resounding guitars with posed and aerial moments like "Everyone's Changing Forever" and "Bored" making an intense and reverie-laden record.
