But the guys at the label gave me some direction as to the shape of the album - a mix of hits and more unusual stuff. I've drawn not only on my own personal production history but also on my extensive knowledge of disco, funk and soul music - I guess - having had years of first-hand dance floor experience from landmark era clubs such as Studio 54".
