Die Message muss klar sein. Es geht um die Energie, den Groove. Kunstvoll und virtuos. Die Hitze des Gefechts in der musikalischen Interaktion, angefeuert von Bandleader Daniel „Booxy“ Aebi. THE MESSAGE verneigt sich vor den Meistern. Allen voran Art Blakey (and the Jazz Messengers – merksch öppis? 1), aber überhaupt vor den Grössen der Blue Note-Ära. Tenor und Posaune, die smootheste Hornsection auf Erden, speziell mit Hans Koller-Preisträger Herwig Gradischnig (Vienna Art Orchestra) und Mario Vavti (Toots Thielemans, Philip Harper etc.). Der Kärntner Bassist Philipp Zarfl eroberte die Wiener Jazzszene im Sturm. Eine Koryphäe am Klavier ist der amerikanische Pianist Peter Madsen. Von Stan Getz bis zur Avantgarde zieht er im Jazz alle Register und steckt mit einem Fuß tief in Funk und Soul.
