Shivaree - I Oughtta Give You A Shot In The Head For Making Me Live In This Dump (1999)

Shivaree's debut album, I Oughtta Give You a Shot in the Head..., is firmly in the mainstream of alternative rock in the late '90s, fitting in nicely with adult alternative radio formats as well as straight-up alternative. The best of the songs are memorable, well-constructed, and performed with commitment; not everything here is a keeper, but overall, the album seems to signify that the band will develop and progress with its next release.
