Karma - Karma (1972/210)

Forgotten on a section on the outskirts of Rio, composer, guitarist and founder of O Terзo and Karma, Jorge Amiden, tries to recover the Saъde shaken by the use of drugs and (low) trips he made with LSD in the 1970s. Alйm do Mais, recorded an antolуgic LP with Karma, participated in the album 'Dreams and Memуrias' by Erasmo Carlos and joined the band of Milton Nascimento. Then, with the struck, hit the stage. It followed, then, a long and undesirable ostracism. But Jorge wants to go back, he wants the same "alive" back to his life. Apуs Break with Terзo, Amiden soon found new partners. With Luiz Mendes Junior (Violгo and vocal) and Alen Cazinho Terra (bass and vocal), Brother of Renato Terra, guitarist would give her track of just over a year as a karma lancy. Ramalho Neto, from the RCA, had no one to hire the band before he even heard it. He recognized Amiden's talent and anticipated a beautiful Karma album for RCA.

And that's what happened. Shortly thereafter, the RCA distributes the same -year -old LP of Karma. With a predominantly acoustic sound serving as the basis for the exquisite vocalization of the trio, 'karma' й stuffed with brilliant canзхes, such as 'from zero below' (Amiden and Mendes Junior), 'linen blouse' (Amiden and Rodrix) and the revisited 'Tribute to Smile' (Amiden and Hinds). This, taken almost to the end in The Chapel, served to further realize the vocal of the set. It is worth highlighting the participation of drummer Gustavo Schroeter (member of the bubble), who helped brighten the album with its always consistent, bold and accurate beat.

And it was with Gustavo on the drums that Karma did the album's lark show on Grajaъ Tкs Clube. Regrettably, this little treasure conceived by Amiden has never been reissued. Possibly hibernate in the RCA archives since its launch in 1972, how to hibernate so many other important works in the archives of Brazilian record labels.

In his short vigilance under Amiden's leadership, Karma also participated in the VII International Festival of Popular Cabine in September 1972.
