Formed in September 2008, the Mirus Quartet was born within the SIXE project (Italian Sound for Europe) promoted by the Cemat Federation of Rome. After completing his studies under the guidance of Bruno Giuranna at the Academy of the "W. Stauffer" Foundation in Cremona, he obtained the recognition of Quartet in Residence at the Autumn Music Festival in Como.

In 2010 he was selected by the Kuss Quartett to participate in the International Quartet Festival of Reggio Emilia and was later invited by Walter Levin to the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. In 2013 he completed the Masters in Chamber Music with Oliver Wille at the Hochschule für Musik in Hannover.

Awarded in 2009 at the "G.Papini" International Chamber Music Competition, the following year he won the "New Careers" award following the "Rec & Play" selections, called by the CIDIM of Rome. In 2011 the Mirus Quartet obtained the first recognition abroad, with the prize-giving at the "B.Pergamenschikow" Chamber Music Competition, sponsored by the prestigious Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin, in 2012 he was invited to join the ECMA - European Chamber Music Academy and in 2013 he was a finalist at the "V.Gui" International Chamber Music Competition in Florence.

He made his debut at the Bologna Festival in 2009 in the "New talents" section, meeting with great success with the public and critics ("training capable of establishing itself through control and maturity", Corriere della Sera). Since then he has given concerts at numerous Italian and foreign institutions, such as the Società dei Concerti of Milan, the Amici della Musica of Modena, the Unione Musicale of Turin, the Teatro Argentina of Rome, the SolistenKonzerte of Costanza, the "La Sapienza" University, Roma Tre and Gregoriana, the Richard Jakoby Saal and the “NDR-Musiktag” Festival in Hannover, the Hochschule “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin, the Festspiele Mesklenbourg-Verpommern, the "I Teatri" Foundation in Reggio Emilia, the Pontino Festival and the Philharmonic Academy of Bologna.

In 2010 he participates in the Chamber Music Festival of Viana do Castelo where he performs Schubert's String Quintet with Mikayel Hakhnazaryan of the Kuss Quartett, participates together with the Zemlinsky Quartet in the execution of the complete Mozart Quartets organized by the GoG of Genoa, and he was invited by the Friends of Music of Mestre to perform Mendelssohn's Octet with the Belcea Quartet. He played live radio for the German NDR-Norddeutscher Rundfunk for an interview / concert.

In 2013 he was involved by Mario Brunello for the performance of the Quartettsatz and the chamber version of Mahler's Fourth Symphony at the Antiruggine in Castelfranco Veneto and for the inaugural concert of the Musica Insieme 2014 season in Bologna.

In 2014 he plays for the Mecklenburg-Vorpommen Music Festival and is invited to play for the FestivalFilosofia of Modena in the commemoration evening of Claudio Abbado.

In 2016 he performed a cycle of concerts together with the pianist Maria Perrotta with Shostakovich's Quintet and the last chamber work by Thomas Adés "The four quarters" (2010), performed in Italy for the first time then in Rome for "I Concerti del Quirinale" and broadcast live on Radio Rai3 and the Euroradio circuit.

In the same year he inaugurated the new season of the Mozart Orchestra BO-OM Festival with a concert at the Philharmonic Academy of Bologna and supported Alessandra Abbado's Mozart14 Association in the social project in prisons Coro Papageno with concerts in the Senate in Rome, in Bologna with Uri Caine and in the Vatican in the presence of the Pope.

In 2017 he played for the Fondazione "I Teatri" of Reggio Emilia in the world premiere of "Haye": La musica, la notte by Mauro Montalbetti with the singer Cristina Zavalloni on stage together with the quartet.

In 2018 he started a collaboration with the Promusica Foundation of Pistoia with chamber music meetings for the Floema project, playing the first performance of specially composed "Mymosh, il figli di se sem" by Paolo Marzocchi and Laudate Pueri by Federico Maria Sardelli. From 2019 he participates in the cycle of concerts of the Soloists of the Orchestra Mozart.

The Mirus Quartet has recorded the Quartet n.3 and Nel Tempo di un'attesa dedicated to them by D. Conti and for Tactus several works including Poikiliai by P.Scattolin, the String Quartet by M.Guernieri and an album with the chamber works by F.Giardini.

In the 2020/21 season the Mirus Quartet will be on tour with the Cidim for the Circolazione Musicale in Italy and will soon be engaged in the recording of chamber works by Fauré and Ravel for voice, quartet and piano with the new ClaraEnsemble project together with the singer Cristina Zavalloni and Jan Bang (ECM) producing. The ensemble has already made its debut at the Unione Musicale in Turin.
