For more than three decades, Al Jones has been a benchmark in Germany and Europe when it comes to R&B. The band has worked with all the greats. As an opening act for B.B. KingJohnny Winters. On tour with Champion Jack Dupree, Willie Mabon, Tommy Tucker, Sonny Rhodes and Louisiana Red. The band plays concerts, tours and festivals throughout Europe. Years ago, the American trade journal 'Livin' Blues' confirmed to Al Jones and his band that there was nothing comparable outside of the United States. Al Jones is undisputedly one of the top acts when it comes to R&B.

Throughout his career, Al Jones has developed his own distinctive vocal and guitar style. He has been influencing the blues scene in Germany and Europe since the early 1980s and is an idol for many musicians. He is a dynamic and powerful guitar player.

The band plays energetic blues in a swinging and easygoing way with a tasteful mix of modern own compositions and traditional blues songs.

The new CD "In time, right time, any time" was released in October 2016.

“In time, right time, any time”… time. Over time. Concepts of time that also apply to the stylistic change in Al Jones' music. Although his name will always be associated with old-school blues, Al Jones is always evolving his music. The music on the new CD is audibly in motion, of course it's still blues, sometimes the good old 12-bar format, but very often and ever more often Al Jones experiments with new forms. That doesn't mean he's trying to reinvent the blues. His blues are contemporary, lively, deep, with sophistication and full of passion. This music is not primarily a question of harmonic structures, but a view of things, a very personal attitude that changes over time. That's why musicians change, and with them their music.
