Babis Papadopoulos is a Greek musician and composer. He has become well-known as the guitarist of the band “Trypes” and some of their songs are his own compositions. In the spring of 2008, his first personal album is released and this is the beginning of his own discography. He has recorded five personal albums to this day and he has composed music for theatrical plays and soundtracks. He presents his work in concerts with alternating projects: Babis Papadopoulos Electric Solo, Babis Papadopoulos Trio and Babis Papadopoulos Acoustic Set. Also from 2010 he is a member of the band “Xeimerinoi Kolymvites”.
This record includes eleven instrumental compositions. Rich melodic lines as well as atmospheric pieces make up a solid musical proposal in modern Greek music. The album features the "Acoustic Set", the band that plays along with Babis Papadopoulos in his live performances to this day. The title of the album is borrowed from the title of a cretan song by Giannis Dermitzakis (Dermitzogiannis, 1907-1984).
