After “Fools For The Radio” was released in September of 2001 the band kind of went through a series of lows and in March of 2002 I decided that I needed a break.
I wasn’t sure how long of a break I needed but all I knew was that I needed one... Desperately.
In late May of 2002 we went in the studio to record “Simplify, Too”.
Like “Simplify”, we recorded it fast.
This time it took us two days to record.
I didn’t know what I was gonna do with the album but I knew I’d do something with it somewhere down the road.
I got married in June of that year and we continued to do shows through till October 25, 2002.
At this point my sails weren’t tied down.
I was drifting and I didn’t know what my next move would be.
Then in January of 2003, I decided that I should release the collection of songs we’d recorded the previous May.
For some reason the title “Simplify, Too” didn’t work for me anymore.
But the title "Table For One" seemed to work perfectly.
And it still does, actually.
Enjoy, Mike Plume
