The album by Melodiya with the works of contemporary Russian composers – the winners of the competition “Lectures on Russian Literature.”
Dom Tvorchestva Peredelkino, together with the Union of Composers of Russia, held the competition in 2021. Its name is a reference to Vladimir Nabokov’s famous lectures. The participants of the competition had to tell, by means of music, about their impressions of the literature written in the famous writers’ colony of Peredelkino. The compositions on this album are based on literary works by outstanding Russian writers like Korney Chukovsky, Veniamin Kaverin, Valentin Katayev, Boris Pilnyak.
