In 2009, Kamei attracted attention by winning the Pittina Piano Competition Special Grand Prix and the first prize at the Japan Music Competition, and in 2010, he won the third prize at the Maria Canals International Competition and was a semi-finalist at the Van Cliburn International Competition. The long-awaited first full-length album "VIRTUOZO" by 20-year-old pianist Seiya Kamei has been released. This album includes virtuoso works such as "La Campanella" and "Mazeppa," which require superb technique among the works of Liszt, who was called the wizard of the piano, and "Islamay" and "Scarbo," which are said to be the most difficult piano pieces. This recording was made at Suntory Hall.
