Ada Oda which is a group coming straight from Brussels and is ready to smash everything at the end of the year with their first album entitled Un Amore Doble.
What is of course the strength of the duo between Victoria Barracato on vocals and César Lalloux (BRNS, Italian Boyfriend) is of course this alliance between two different musical universes that hit the mark. Ada Oda has this feat of bringing together post-punk and Italian variety with a binary tendency to better impress us throughout these ten deliberately stripped down and incisive tracks. Very quickly, we tap our feet to the sound of the introductory title track before gaining momentum with the hard-hitting "Nienta da Offrere", "Mai mai mai" and others "Non so che cosa na sarà di me" brilliantly defining the band's original style.
All it takes is a drum machine, a groovy bass line and angular riffs for the sauce to take easily. The feverish interpretation of Victoria Barracato continues to bewitch us both on quiet moments (“La maschera”, “Il caos”) and moments of pure madness (“Si ferméà”, “Avevo torto”). Ada Oda reaches the peak of her creativity with this elegiac conclusion called “Domani” which brilliantly synthesizes this live energy perfectly transcribed on disc. With Una Amore Doble, this winter will be very feverish!
