Cliff Richard - Christmas with Cliff (2022)

Cliff Richard became synonymous with Christmas with the release of his festive classic 'Mistletoe and Wine' in 1988, and since then he continued to share his love of the winter holiday with the release of a number of Christmas tracks including 'Saviour’s Day' and 'The Millennium Prayer'.

Although Christmas seems far off right now, the singer is clearly ready for the upcoming festive season as he has now announced a new album called 'Christmas With Cliff' will be released in the coming months.

The album contains Cliff's renditions of several classic Christmas songs including 'It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year', 'Sleigh Ride', and 'Joy to the World'. The 81-year-old has also recorded three original songs titled 'First Christmas', 'Six Days After Christmas (Happy New Year)' and 'Heart of Christmas'.

The album follows his 'Cliff At Christmas' record from 2003 and will be available on CD, digitally, as well as in red and white vinyl editions.

Of the album, Cliff said: "This album is not just mine. It belongs to all of us involved in creating it and I hope that we add a little something special to your Christmas season."

Speaking about creating the record, he added: "I have always loved being in recording studios ever since Studio 2, Abbey Road, in 1958. I recorded this album in “Criteria Studios” in Miami Florida - 4,427 miles away from Abbey Road and once again I felt that I was in a world of my own!

"I had the help of two producers, Sam Hollander and Chris Walden. They guided me through the “well known” Christmas songs and freed me to sing them my way. They had differing approaches to the songs that I asked them to produce for me, and they gave this album the dynamics that I had hoped for."
