60's : At the age of 17, Cisco started playing the guitar. After training for more than 8 hours a day and after just four lessons, his first teacher admitted she didn’t have anything to teach him any longer.
In Wales, Cisco met John James who quickly took this young prodigy under his wings, teaching him all he knew about finger picking. He started to get his inspiration from authentic bluesmen. Cisco then met Fred McDowell, who taught him how to use a bottleneck and encouraged him to get inspiration from the blues spirit.
After numerous experiences in the US, Cisco come back to France for a tour, being one of the first French bluesmen. He could be heard on the radio and seen on French TV (three times in “le cabaret de l’ORTF”).
Cisco then made a record with “les Haricots rouges”, a French band, and played with them in the “Festival d’Andernos”, a jazz and blues festival in the south-west of France during which he made an amazing encounter : john Lee Hooker himself who was playing just before them.
There was an instant spark, And Cisco dropped everything to follow John Lee Hooker on tour, playing his second guitar.
