Previously found arranging the lush strings on George Riley’s late summer dance-pop volley ‘Running In Waves’, Keek takes his solo debut bow proper with a playful slant on classic and ‘80s and ‘90s R&B/soul skewed to up-to-the-second hyperpop. He proves a master of quizzical chord changes over the course of seven sharply puckered songs, dipping between the future-classic styles of ‘Foreverlong’ with its helium-pitched vox and harmonious ‘90s crooner switches, to what sounds like strolling country soul for miming TikTok kids on ‘Wedding Song’.
