Arthur Miles’ consolidated career in the international music world began at the age of sixteen when he started to play professionally. Born in Indianapolis, he was influenced by the enveloping atmosphere created by the great jazz guitarist, his uncle Wes Montgomery, and together with the possibility of observing, learning and jamming with the best blues, soul and jazz musicians of the time in his father’s club “Arthur’s”, he soon became one of the best-known musicians in California.
His tours have taken him to Japan, Canada and Europe. In Italy he has worked for over twenty years with Zucchero. His warm, unmistakable, colourful voice emblematic of Black Music has contributed to recordings with Tina Turner, Paolo Conte and Frank Raya. In the 90’s his record “Helping Hand” reached the top of the London charts.
His vast repertoire includes many musical genres all of which he interprets with the same ease: Soul, R&B, Funky, Dance, Jazz, Gospel e Blues. Since hes arrival in Italy, he has promoted the Blues in particular, through his uncountable live exhibitions and the recording of many songs, both covers and originals, including "Live at the Scimmie" and "Blue Avenue" to mention only two. Today he still writes and interprets original songs with great force and effect....he has only just begun!
