Emerging in 2018 to critical acclaim with her debut album "Al Silencio", the Mexican-Swiss singer Carolina Katún is back with a new opus. Accompanied by Pierre Perchaud on guitar, Laura Caronni on cello and Arthur Alard on drums, Carolina Katún's rich voice is at the service of a repertoire exploring a universe that is both poetic and poignant, but also filled with commitment through powerful and delicate compositions.
This album is the fruit of compositions whose texts evoke the acceptance of gender diversity, humanism, and awareness of ecological issues. Perfectly blending Latin American sounds with an aura of jazz, Carolina Katún wishes to gently approach subjects close to her heart, always with her unique touch, coloured with poetry. This album offers us opportunities to open spaces - like the mountainous landscapes of the cover - within ourselves, to delve into our silences and to find connections between ourselves and the immensity that surrounds us.
