Soulscapes is a collection of soul tunes which I created over the last 20 years. They are statements from within which ‘birthed’ themselves in different ways, influenced by many styles of music. In most cases the tune (soul) dictated the form. I just had to stay out of the way.
Mr. Malouf has been involved in music from his early childhood. He has played in rock bands, experimental bands, and jazz bands. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Bowling Green State University, and Ball State University. His focus has been on improvisation which is creating music in real time. Ideas for tunes have developed from this focus.
