Oliver Kucharovic Quartet - Impulse (2022)

The jazz quartet OKQ - Oliver Kucharovič Quartet closed in the studio at the beginning of the year and after months of hard work, they are presenting their first album to the world. The seven-track Impulse album is a mix of jazz, funk, jazz rock, jazz fusion and groove, and all members signed their signatures.

The band OKQ mainly plays in Brno, but they will present the album on concert stages not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Slovakia. The quartet has been active for about three years, and recording a CD was another necessary experience. During the past years, they have definitely not been idle, just after a few months of operation they were among the finalists of the New Faces of Slovak Jazz competition and this year they won the open call for Jazz Wanted as part of the Pet Jazz festival. In the meantime, they played several successful concerts in the legendary Music Lab or at the Kamenka Open festival, where this year the talented Tina Mweni, originally from Kenya, rapped in a few tracks.
