The saxophonist Javier Ortí presents his new album “Laguna Llena” co-hosted with Danish guitarist Mikkel Ploug and completed by bassist Joan Masana and drummer, also Danish, Martin Andersen.
Javier Ortí, who had already recorded his music as a leader in the albums "Intrology" and "Enki" and together with Miguel Martins in "Vivek", this time he shares compositions with Ploug. The themes have an aesthetic imaginary that combines elements of classical, folk, jazz and world music. In them you can perfectly hear the personality of both that complement each other. They advocate a speech, which without losing the essence of simplicity, delves deeply into the different parameters of music, colorful and seasoned by the solid and varied rhythmic sense of Masana and Andersen that give the group great consistency.
The creativity and expressiveness of each of its components make this project an interesting place for experimentation and improvisation, including sounds with different timbres and textures that serve to narrate your own discourse.
