"Too Hot" is the 2014 release by Blues Guitarist and Vocalist Son Lewis and is a special homage to many of his early influences like Sleepy John Estes, Lightnin Hopkins, Paul Butterfield and Eric Clapton. In addition to his "Blues" roots, Son also acknowledges the place that funk, soul and other forms had in his musical development with songs by Wilson Pickett, The Temptations (a wonderful acoustic version of "I Wish It Would Rain"), War (Slippin' into Darkness) and (believe it or not) Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music (Lewis considers "Avalon" to be one of the most romantic songs ever written). Fifteen tunes, two of them new originals, and more good Blues, Roots and Rock from the godfather of NJ Blues.
