Chris Fox - In Plain Sight (2022)

In Plain Sight is the eagerly awaited new album release from singer songwriter Chris Fox. With plenty of time on his hands during the lockdown of 2020 he wrote this album with the express intention of not writing about himself or his feelings. So, he sat down and diligently wrote a collection of songs…… all about himself and his feelings. Here you will find ten original songs painted on a musical backdrop of Folk and Roots, Americana, Country, Blues and contemporary Transatlantic Folk. Musical Influences (to name a few) range from the Mavericks, Paul Simon, John Martyn, Transatlantic Sessions and Willie Nelson. The album features Holly Brandon on fiddle (The Magpies, Painted Sky) and John Parker on Double Bass (Nizlopi, The Willows, Jackie Oates) and was produced and recorded by Dan Wilde at Gladeside Recordings. This album reflects the thoughts, fears and joys of the everyday inspired by a multitude of events and characters that activate his surreal and somewhat feverish imagination.
