The Hawaiians - Pop Punk Vip (2022) Hi Res

The last album by the Westphalian Hawaiians came out in 2021, and a total of 16 songs were written and recorded within a year. Everything is of very high quality, from the songwriting to the production to the presentation of the CD, which comes in a digipack.

Musically the whole thing is very close to the Ramones. Fast riffs and catchy melodies. Everything the Ramones and Beach Boys have perfected throughout their careers is carried over here. Accordingly, the whole thing goes well into the ear. A small, probably personal highlight is a guest appearance by Richie Ramone.

I don't understand why the band gives themselves the pop-punk stamp, because they are a far cry from bands like Blink-182, which are desperately professional youth and whose genre caters for very unpleasant audiences.

Conclusion: Really awesome disc that you should definitely listen to! 77 at it's best!
