"It Ain't Easy Being Sleezy", and yes it is spelled the way it was meant to be, marks the second release from Les Copeland and the first under the name of the Les Copeland Band, which in addition to Les (Vocals/Guitars/Mandolin/Percussion), also consists of Bill Haner (Bass), and Charlie Fisher (Drums).

Les Copeland's debut release, "Don't Let The Devil In", garnered immense critical acclaim, and was chosen by me as Best Debut Album (Artist) (Canada), in my 2010 Year End Review. Here is a quote from my review of that Album. "If there ever was an Album that was able to call out to you and draw you into it's magical world, Les Copeland's "Don't Let The Devil In" is that Album. It will certainly place him in the company of many of the heavyweights in the Canadian as well as International Music Scene and is more than deserving of all the accolades I am sure it will receive. A finer Album for a Debut Release, you will not find. Finding a finer Album... Period, good luck...

Les Copeland is an extremely well known and well respected artist, especially throughout Canada. He has promoted and toured with many of the greats, including for 14 years with the Legendary Honeyboy Edwards, for which this album is dedicated to. Based in Vernon, B.C., Canada, Les Copeland is truly one of Canada's finest Blues treasures, with skills as a Guitarists, Singer, and Songwriter, that are absolutely second to none.

"It Ain't Easy Being Sleezy" consists of 11 great Tracks of all new originals from Les Copeland and offer up a wide range of various styles, from deep dark Blues, to Flamenco & Classic styling, Swing, and Hard Driving ZZ Top Stylin', which brilliantly shows off Copeland's extreme range of talent.

In addition to the spot on musicianship of "It Ain't Easy Being Sleezy", you will no doubt be drawn to Les Copeland's Vocals, which have no problem bending and contorting to whatever song and style he is singing, reminiscent at one end of Van Morrison and at the other end of Mick Jagger.

I was super thrilled to receive Les Copeland's newest release and equally as thrilled listening to it and although it was a bit different then his debut release, it was still no less entertaining, where as "Don't Let The Devil In", was pure Les Copeland, this one shined with the added something special brought forward, courtesy of Haner and Fisher.

"It Ain't Easy Being Sleezy", continued in the vein of great music performed in a great way and is an album I highly recommend giving a listen.
