Release of the film on January 20, 2010 on 500 copies. Trailer of 2''20 in November at the cinema. Joann Sfar, star of the "new French comics" author including the "Chat du rabbin", attacked a filmed biography of Gainsbourg. A dream casting film, halfway between pure and imaginary biography. Serge Gainsbourg: Heroic Life traces the life of the singer, from the young Lucien Ginsburg in busy Paris in the 1940s, to the poet, composer and singer celebrated throughout the world. The film explores, on the one hand, the artistic itinerary of the young man who loved painting until the consecration of his music; and on the other hand the complexity of his adult life through his tumultuous loves. The music obviously holds a prominent place in the film, it is the actors of the film who interpret the titles of Gainsbourg, all the titles have been arranged (except 3 original titles). The composition and arrangements are signed Olivier Daviaud (who has collaborated with Olivia Ruiz, Bénabar, Dionysos). The soundtrack combines original and instrumental songs on which we can hear excerpts from the dialogue of the film. Other artists - who do not play in the film also participate in the FF: Dionysos, Emily Loizeau, Jeanne Cherhal, Gonzales, Serge Teyssot Gay, Nosfell ... The film cast: Eric Elmosnino (Gainsbourg), Lucie Gordon (Jane Birkin ), Laetitia Casta (Brigitte Bardot), Anna Mouglalis (Juliette Greco), Sara Forestier (France Gall), Mylène Jampanoï (Bamboo), Philippe Katerine (Boris Vian).
