The Moon Is No Door - Tiny Moment (2022) Hi-Res

Debut album of the new band project around composer and singer/songwriter STEPHA SCHWEIGER with nine adaptations of KATHERINE MANSFIELD poems as a CD in a digipack and as an LP on L"ST RECORDS. With their psychedelic-herbal-rocky indie sound, THE MOON IS NO DOOR create descriptions of situations and fictional dialogues with multiple voice inserts in the form of collages.The new band project by singer/songwriter and composer STEPHA SCHWEIGER - known from her experimental music theater work and productions with PYROLATOR and HANNO LEICHTMANN - follows two solo albums with poems by KATHERINE MANSFIELD but a new musical direction: According to Schweiger, "the new selection from MANSFIELD's lyrics needed a band that sounds harder, more edgy and herbaceous." The core of the band is formed by Stepha Schweiger on vocals, synthesizer and piano, ADAM GOODWIN on double bass, ROBERT PEPE PÖSCHL (ROBERT FORSTER, KIM FOLEY, WALTER SALAS-HUMARA) on electric bass and MÄX HUBER (WALTER SA LAS HUMARA, KIM FOLEY) on drums. Guest musicians DIRK DRESSELHAUS (SCHNEIDER TM) on the processed electric guitar and ULRICH KRIEGER (LOU REED) on the saxophone participate in the settings, which are aimed at both indie pop and improvisational avant-garde. The recordings were made in 2019 in STEFAN GIENGER’s Munich “Mastermix “, the former studio of the German music producer JACK WHITE, recorded live and completed in Los Angeles in 2020. STEPHA SCHWEIGER produced it and DIRK DRESSELHAUS mixed it at ZONE-Studio Berlin.
