Case Kämäräinen - Mystique from the North (2022)

Polish mysticism, the echo of Norwegian fjords and Finnish romanticism. Case Kämäräi, who draws his music from these starting points, will be heard on the Mystique From The North release tour in Finland in September.

Case Kämäräinen is an international jazz quartet that presents the music of drummer Tomi Kämäräinen. Kämäräi was last heard, among other things, as the drummer for the American Janet Evra on a tour in the United States in December 2021. He will be heard on the release tour of the new Mystique From The North album. vibraphonist Severi Pyysaloo as a special guest. The melodies of the band's compositions are interpreted by e.g. Saxophonist Marek Konarski (PL), known from Kathrine Windfeld Sextet and Adam Baldych Quintet. The piano features Tuomo Uusitalo, who has been influential in New York for several years, whose playing is influenced by the traditions of classical jazz and free improvisation. Petter Asbjørnsen (NO) is an amazing improviser on bass.

The music of the new album is mainly composed with vibraphone, so according to Severi Pyysalo, the addition is a very pleasant addition to the tour. The new music adapts different stories behind the compositions, both fictional and realistic.
