SHIFT - Bad Hombre Vol.II is the sequel to Antonio Sánchez' 2017 Grammy-nominated album Bad Hombre. On his debut album with Warner Music, Sánchez now comes up with a who's who of collaborators. These include some of his favorite singers and songwriters, whom he instigated to break up and then recreate material together. He asked his alter ego "Bad Hombre" for support, which served as legitimacy for him to record literally all the instruments single-handedly. At the same time, he used his talents as a composer, producer and percussionist to take the songs to new territories without changing their respective essences.

The result is a wonderfully educated circle that includes Dave Matthews & Pat Metheny, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Meshell Ndegeocello, Lila Downs, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Kimbra, Ana Tijoux, Becca Stevens, Silvana Estrada, MARO, Thana Alexa & SONICA with their own , well-known plays - or with fresh ideas by Sánchez that have been worked out together. In this way, creative spaces emerged that seemed familiar and new at the same time - like rediscovered places for musical exploration together.
