Emilien Lefevre - Arundo (2015)

Marceau Lefèvre (*1993 Avignon/France) received saxophone lessons at the age of seven before also starting to play the bassoon at the age of twelve. He initially studied both subjects at the same time at the Conservatoire régional d'Avignon, then at the Conservatoire régional de Paris with Laurent Lefèvre, Gilbert Audin and Jean-François Duquesnoy. In 2013, Marceau Lefèvre moved to the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique in Paris, where he studied bassoon with Laurent Lefèvre and Fany Maselli. In 2011 he won first prize at the French national competition for young bassoonists, followed in 2012 by first prize at the Léopold Bellan International Chamber Music Competition in the wind quintet category. In 2014, Marceau Lefèvre won 1st prize at the 3rd International Woodwind Competition hülsta woodwinds.

Emilien Lefèvre (*1990 Avignon/ France) studied at the Conservatoire régional d'Avignon before moving to the Conservatoire régional de Paris with Jean-Claude Jaboulay. He graduated from the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique in Paris with a degree in music and musicology.

Kimiko Imani, born in Hamamatsu, Japan, graduated from the Hochschule für Musik Detmold with Anatol Ugorski. She completed master classes with Peter Lang, Leonid Margarius and András Schiff. She made her debut as a concert soloist at Tokyo's Suntory Hall with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. Kimiko Imani is a GWK Music Prize winner. As a chamber musician, she regularly performs at international festivals and concert series in Europe and Asia.
