Blaz Sparovec - Enter Clarinet (2015)

Blaž Šparovec (*1994 Ljubljana/Slovenia) first studied at the Conservatory for Music and Ballet in Ljubljana with Andrej Zupan before moving to the Berlin University of the Arts with François Benda. As a soloist and chamber musician, Šparovec won four first prizes at national competitions, and he received six international awards. In 2012 he represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Young Musicians competition in Vienna, a year earlier he received a special prize at the International Radio Competition Concertino Prague. In 2014, Blaž Šparovec won 1st prize at the Aeolus Wind Competition and 1st prize at the 3rd International Woodwind Competition hülsta woodwinds.

The Doležal Quartet was founded in 1972 by violist Karel Doležal at the Prague Academy of Music. In 2003, the well-known music professor invited outstanding young string players to audition as part of the new quartet. Since 2008 the string quartet consists of Václav Dvorák and Ondrej Pustejovský (violin), Martin Stupka (viola) and Jan Zverina (cello).

Alma Klemm (*1986 Altenburg) studied with Ragnhild Kopp at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich and with Gisèle Herbet in Würzburg. She is currently completing her master’s degree with Stephen Fitzpatrick at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

Jella Großmann (*1989 Berlin) studied at the Lübeck University of Music with Jörg Linowitzki. Jella Großmann is currently studying for a master's degree at the Berlin University of the Arts with Michael Wolf and Okhee Lee.
