Israel Moreno, heir to a family musical tradition, has a musical background based on folk music as well as academic music. His repertoire spans the genres of "contemporary or avant-garde music", folklore and popular marimba music, Latin music, symphonic music and jazz. He is a professor at the Faculty of Music at UNICACH, winning the first prize as the best instrumentalist of his generation in 1994, He graduated with honors from the National School of Music at UNAM, he completed his Master's degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Holland and his Ph.D. from the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz, Austria. He is also a Yamaha Artist since 2012 and Elite Mallets since 2019.

He constantly performs activities as a soloist on the Marimba and the vibraphone, interpreting works by various composers, among which a list of repertoire commissioned from outstanding composers stands out, as well as their arrangements and his compositions. He was recognized with the Scenic Creator with Career Scholarship from FONCA, recording 5 albums as a soloist, – Purple Purple, and La Encrucijada with works by Latin American composers, Colors of Mexico with his works for vibraphone and Sonorities of my memory, his compositions with quartet of jazz; in addition to his Los Parachicos Suite for solo vibraphone and big-band. He has offered concerts, conferences and Master classes in most universities and conservatories in Mexico and in Latin American countries as well as the United States, Bulgaria, France, Austria, Holland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, among others.

He has performed as a soloist with the Querétaro Philharmonic Orchestra, the Carlos Chávez Symphony Orchestra, and the Rheing Youth Chamber Orchestra in Germany. He has participated as a percussionist in several Symphonic Orchestras of Mexico and Holland as well as in percussion ensembles such as Tambuco and Marimba Nandayapa. Various festivals in Mexico, on Radio and TV. He is the author of the Libro la Marimba en Chiapas, and together with Javier Nandayapa wrote the Method for Mexican marimba, he is also co-author of at least 5 other publications.

He is the founder and director of Grupo Na'rimbo, with 4 albums to date and with whom he has offered concerts at festivals such as the International Film Festival in Cannes, Out doors Festival at Lincoln Center in New York, Duke Ellington Jazz Festival in Washington DC together with Paquito de Rivera, Kennedy Center, National Concert Hall of Taipei, FIC Mexico, as well as in several festivals in Mexico, France, Germany, Belgium, Amsterdam, Spain, China, Korea, South Africa, Mali, Kuwait, Qatar and the United States. Joined. With the Paax Percussion project they have made 3 tours in Japan with around 25 presentations and master classes including at Toho Gakuen University invited by Mtra. Keiko Abe, and a presentation at the Ginza Yamaha Hall, as well as concerts in Spain and Colombia.
