Rebecca Delle Piane - Soltera EP (2022)

Rebecca Delle Piane may be a relatively new name, but Soltera shows that she has already developed a signature sound with a focus on the tougher end of techno. "Tango" delivers jarring riffs over an unflinching, driving rhythm, while "The Cold In Me (Rough Vision)" is a faster affair, powered by thundering kicks and dystopian keys. "Tom's Revenge" is another visceral track, led by bruising kicks and rattling snares, while "Decanter 5" bristles with all the intensity of Luke Slater's X-Tront material. "That Cost Me Sleep" marks a return to the blistering minimalism of "Tango", as it implodes in a hail of snares, while "The City Is Burning" is a frenetic broken beat workout in the Perc vein.
