Eagles - Hotel California (Deluxe Edition) (2017)

"Hotel California" is an extended commemorative deluxe reissue of the 1976 album by the American rock band the Eagles, featuring a remastered sound of the original album on the first CD, previously unreleased live recordings on the second CD, recorded in Los Angeles (October 1976).

This deluxe edition is presented in a stylish box, which also includes a hardcover booklet with rare photographs of the period, a copy of the tour booklet and a poster. The release features for the first time 10 tracks that were recorded during the band's concert in Los Angeles in October 1976. The tracks were recorded a month before the album's release, including early performances of "Hotel California" and "New Kid In Town", as well as other classic Eagles hits including "Already Gone", "Take It To The Limit", and "Witchy Woman". This album is considered the best of the band's entire career, mainly due to the presence of two super hits "Hotel California" and "New Kid in Town" (the singles of these compositions took first place in the Billboard Hot 100 chart). For the song "Hotel California" was awarded the Grammy Award in the prestigious nomination "Best Record of the Year".

In their golden period from 1971 to 1981, the band's albums topped the Billboard Top 200 chart 4 times, and singles topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart 5 times. 65 million copies of their albums were sold worldwide. The record "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" is still the most commercially successful album in US history (29 million copies were sold in total).
