Sun Organ, Nyxy Nyx & Sandcastle - Made for This Life (2022)

Philadelphia's indie scene is full of countless secrets. Three groups not recognized but oh so prolific are adept at change, namely Sun Organ, Nyxy Nyx and Sandcastle respectively. These three entities have the great idea of ​​joining forces for a split album called Made For This Life.

We thus find all the quintessence of indie rock from Philadelphia with Sun Organ which gives us countless chills on "Darkness Of Love" which opens the split-album but also on "Arbiter Of Pain" and the darkest and most electric " Over n Over Again”. Between folk, grunge, shoegaze, bedroom-pop and lo-fi, Made For This Life brings out all the melodic qualities of these musical entities with Sandcastle which dazzles us with "My Stranger" as well as with "Lovely Bride" and "Moonseed". as well as the workaholic Nyxy Nyx who puts his unique touch with the sticky "No Worries" or even with the liberating "I Love You So Much" and "Family Size". The 26-minute title track proves that the three formations will be able to make their respective universes speak in order to take us very far as they see fit. These local musical collaborations don't happen every day and our ears are happy to benefit from them.
