Ozbolt - a dream caught in a valley, carved from
within. And dipped into
whilst leaving behind and letting down the thoughts
that explore
tangents with the rocky peaks that frame this
valley.
Ozbolt's first album 'The Family Dog Never Felt At
Home' came together
while being stranded on the island of Sardinia.
Where 'The Family Dog'
focuses on meetings with remarkable dogs and the
elaborate context of
daytime ventures into a highly organic scenery,
'Dreamstate Baby' is
sharing these same island roots but centers on the
realms of subconcious
nighttime meanderings.
A steadily moving light penetrating the odd
darkness that surrounds the
endless dirt roads. Weirdly shaped skies that
change their textures from
light to a heavy yet loving thick fabric that
remembers and holds traces
of everything that passes through. Where 'The
Family Dog' is a
pine-scented daytime sauna, 'Dreamstate Baby' is
a deserted nocturnal
hot spring, garnished by tired car parts that seek
absolution in the
golden steam rising towards the heavens.
