Endless Dive - A Brief History of a Kind Human (2022)

Endless Dive continues its merry way serenely. The Belgian group has made everyone agree with their cinematic and frenetic post-rock that has given rise to an intriguing discography which is completed by a new album called A Brief History of a Kind Human.

It will have taken three years of work and hard work to bring this disc to fruition, which turns out to be very surprising to listen to. In order to get rid of the label that we have attributed to them so much, Endless Dive is adorned with new sounds without ever betraying its musical origins. The result gives rise to arrangements that are a bit more ample and synthetic which adorn the titles rich in poetry such as “Blurred” which opens the disc but also the dense “La Ciguë” and “Elevator to Silence”.

Endless Dive reinforces this airy and sumptuous side that will have made them famous by pushing the plug a little further. We let ourselves be carried away by the divine grace of compositions such as “Archimboldi” and “Tropique Triste” showing the Belgian group master when it comes to creating palpable tensions in its haunting melodies. The summit is crossed with "The Red Poet" and "Au Revoir" which deserve all his attention and which are symptomatic of the musical and poetic ambitions of Endless Dive.
