In addition to our Sephardic roots, the album also includes pieces from the Carpathian Basin. We play, among others, a Sephardic lament, a Schoenberg quotation and a Mahala (Romanian, Hungarian and Gypsy dance). The themes try to draw out - despite their diversity - a structural building system in which the individual parts show a very different face at the micro and macro level. This is helped by the fact that our music is always improvisational, with a core around creative music and free jazz, and I hope that these improvisations consolidate and unify the musical worlds used," says Péter Ajtai, the leader of the band. "As the famous graffiti says, 'talking about music is like dancing to architecture', so I would encourage everyone to dance to buildings."
